Today after breakfast we went to Barnes & Nobel. I try to stay out of there. I try to support small business. But occasionally we get sucked into the bliss of the evil empire. And hey, they give homeschoolers a nice discount. While there, my son found a copy of "The Wicked History of The World, History With The Nasty Bits Left In!" by Terry Deary and Martin Brown. This is a Scholastic reprint of a British history series called "Horrible Histories". We bought the book straight away. Off the couch later that day, after lunch, my son rolled onto the floor and just stayed there. "Are you too horrified to read any more?" "No, I finished." "The whole book?!" I can't give a better recommendation than that.

It is evening now and the children have been playing outside but it is starting to rain. Remember that feeling of running for home? I am going to catch them as they run up. If I keep posting these grainy photos maybe someone will take pity and send me a real camera....
