We went to a play: http://www.schoolsculptures.com/

"An exciting multi-media adventure inspired by the work of American Artist Alexander Calder. Music animated circus sculpture and projected masterworks of modern art complement the dynamic performance of actor/visual artist Kevin Reese. "

If you get a chance to see this performance, grab every kid you can find and go. It is fantastic. I have never seen an event that played so well to such a huge range of ages. Adults were entertained and moved. Children were enthralled.

My favorite theme? Silencing your inner and outer critics. Note to self: it was especially difficult for the artist to still the inner voice of a critical parent. And sneakily, the voice was loving and the artist so wanted to be pleasing.
