A new fresh cow is arriving on the farm tomorrow. Halt the goat project. Resume the dairy. Oh Lordy, I've got to get my hands back in shape fast. She is three years old and seven months pregnant with her second calf. So we'll be drying her off in a few weeks. But, oh thrill, a new cow, more farm work, and really fresh milk once again!

She's a purebred Jersey. She won't be mine. I've struck a deal with the farmer to do all the milking for half the milk.
Hi Katherine! Sorry I'm so out of it...but what happened to your other cows? We were looking forward to seeing them. This new one looks lovely.
The other cows are still there. They are "dry" which means not in milk. One is old and needs to retire. The other is a mystery. She will be three this spring and has never had a calf. That is not usual for a cow. We love her so much and she's so well trained, we won't slaughter her. She's an official ambassador, a Glamor Gal, as my Grandfather would have said. Also, we're really excited to see you all soon! :o)
