We had taco night and played Roller Bat in the backyard at my sister's house.  The best part was watching my 70 year old mother swing for the back meadow.   Roller Bat delights her and she taught us how to play:
The batter knocks one outfield, delicately retires the bat at their feet, and waits there.   Who ever catches the ball rolls it, from where they stand, to tag the bat.  The first person to tag the bat gets the next turn to hit.   When was the last time you felt that satisfying smack of the ball into the bat on a late summer evening with nothing in front of you but, perhaps, another bowl of ice cream and then bedtime?
