"And then if I were a Henry, who is trying to make his way in the world with all his antennae humming away, what would make me happy?"

Is this a quote from Henry? Because your kids co me up with the most amazing things!

Well now you see, about that quote. A dear friend of mine was shopping online and accidentally (she claims) found something so sweet and so special and so dear and so perfect for my daughter, she just up and bought it. And then added about 15 perfect accessories to go with it. Note: Christmas is long gone. Birthdays are way up there in the future. There is no possible explanation for this Amazing Generosity. What can I say? She's just full of love and giving. And she wants to find something for Henry too. And she was wondering, what might that thing be? And this is how she wondered it, out loud, with those words. And her, her self, her mysterious giving ways, her sweetness, her love all just make me want to lie down on my back on the earth and cry. Honestly, it makes my head swim, little footballs go floating around me in a circle and I can never catch one, only watch them go round and wonder wonder wonder how and why I get to have this friend in my life? And to me, that thought of hers, is its own gift. So, I put it there because I want to see it and think about it, everyday, for a while.

I've caught plenty of footballs in my life. The point is, Its Not About Me.

Isn't it absolutely amazing how those that give to our children (for all the right reasons) touch us so profoundly? That is love manifested in the most soul touching way.
