I'm nobody! Who are you?
Are you nobody, too?
Then there's a pair of us — don't tell!
They'd banish us, you know.
How dreary to be somebody!
How public, like a frog
To tell your name the livelong day
To an admiring bog!

Funny :)
Would Emily have blogged, do you think? If she had been given a chance? Would she have become a minor internet star? Or would her fate have been the same, undiscovered in life? I bet she'd have posted lovely garden photos.
I have always loved this. Stumbled upon it again recently and had to read it to the kids, giggling at the thought of sharing something so amusing with them. They weren't amused. "What's so great about being nobody?" Then we had to talk about that. And through all that, the poem lost its funny. Hate when that happens. ;)
