There Is No Uncaring In Unschooling
"He'd fooled us. He'd been learning all along--we just hadn't been able to see it because it didn't follow from our "teaching." It came from doing, sharing, and observing, from osmotically absorbing what was around him. I recalled that he once said to Mark, who was giving him snowboard instruction, "Dad, would you stop trying to teach me and just let me learn?"

Kid under the porch shot. I. LOVE. IT. It is my childhood.
How is it that children find the places to hide where adults would never ever enter? It's some kind of kid instinct I think, to crawl into a place and instantly know they won't be invaded. I hid in such places when I was a kid. Now? Spider webs. Wild animal dens. Snakes! No way you'd get me in there.
GORGEOUS photographs.
