I lit candles for breakfast. Isn't that sweet? On account of the inexplicably cold weather we are having, I served hot cocoa and toast. And since we had a sleep over guest, the candles made it extra special. Pretty nice huh? Well look what I found on the breakfast table when we got home THIS AFTERNOON.
That's right. I left them burning in our empty house for many many hours. All day, in fact. We had a busy day. We finished an art class that focused on water color. I've said my kids each have their talents. Ry is pretty good with her hands. And I think she has an eye. This one she painted is 11x17. The photo doesn't do it justice. She's an artist.Which is a good thing, that she in an artist. Because artwork often says the things we can't find words for. Like how grateful we are to have a home, how thankful we feel to not have to tell our husband we burned down the house, and how much we all love our children.

Oooo, I have so done that with the candles! Glad everything is okay on that...altho I once had someone reassure me that they'd just flicker out in their own wax...ya..well, who wants to take chances??

Meanwhile, Ry is CERTAINLY a wonderful artist!! In fact, I may want to commission her!! I love having kids art on my walls!

I am amazed at those pictures! That watercolor is beautiful! And what a sweet mama kitty :) How awesome you are taking water color classes. Do you all go together?

I hardly trust myself with candles because I have been known to do the same thing. Glad it turned out okay!

Yikes! You're lucky the candles didn't do damage to anything but themselves!

The artwork is beautiful. I love it when children are creative. They haven't been jaded or influenced by anyone or anything other than their own imaginations. Uncontaminated art is so incredible, and, like you said, it just needs no words. Just an appreciative mind.
