NCSU Libraries Learning Commons

Here is my dear husband, Director of the Learning Commons at NC State University. I'm so proud of him! Well, The Commons is pretty cool too, I guess.

Katherine...I SO love the pictures of the family by the river messing about. Very beautiful and SO full of spring! You're so lucky you are having spring!! I've sorta got it up here...sorta...

...meanwhile, the commons look SO stinking cool. And your husband ain't too shabby either. I'm a sucker for an intelligent man in a tie with a title like "Director of Learning"!! Lucky students to have The Commons...I want something like that here at home...

What a cool job to have and what a great, new space! It's beautiful.

I found your blog through Sarah's "Handmade Homeschool." Just wanted to

1) Say hello

2) Say that you have darling kids and those photos by the river are great and

3) I was SO totally there with you yelling at and about the Frontline episode. It was the one time I actually considered going online after the show to leave messages on their boards. Did you happen to notice that the majority of the stuff the kids were shown putting into their mouths was JUNK, like doughnuts and soda and stuff? I just kept wondering why those doctors were completely overlooking the fact that these kids were arriving with parents who looked quite unhealthy themselves and might have suggested a few other lifestyle changes before going the anti-psychotic drug route!

I could go on, but I just needed to say, I hear you, sistah! :)

Thanks y'all.

Mrs. Pivec, hello to you. Glad you're here. Our family totem are owls. (My daughter's bandanna in the river pictures is covered with owls.) You might like to check out moonstiches.com She did a tutorial on making owls last year that I adore.

More later on owls and such.... running running running these days.

What a great space for students. Ditto what Maria said about wanting something like that here at home. And about being a sucker for an intelligent man in a tie thing :)

The day by the river looks perfect. You have a beautiful family.
