Venus brightest at 2007 equinox dawn "Tomorrow – September 23, 2007 – the sun will cross the celestial equator moving from north to south. On this September equinox 2007, the brightest of all planets – Venus – will reach what astronomers call greatest brilliancy. Look for Venus shining like a beacon in the east before dawn. What a great equinox celebration!"
I could not sleep this morning so up I got and I stood on the balcony of our little beach retreat. What I saw actually staggered me for a moment. The sky was perfectly clear. It was still quite dark at 5 am. And I was all alone. Venus was shining there so brightly I thought I was hallucinating. When I realised that actually was Venus, when I took in the fact that she cast an actual glow in the water, my knees got weak for a tiny moment. I rubbed my eyes. I thought something was wrong with them. I have never seen any planet or star shine like that. Now I understand why she is called the most beautiful one.
"The astronomical symbol for Venus is the same as that used in biology for the female sex: a circle with a small cross beneath. The Venus symbol also represents femininity, and in ancient alchemy stood for the metal copper. Alchemists constructed the symbol from a circle (representing matter) above a cross (representing spirit)."
Today Fairy Circle marked the equinox together. And we made Leaf Changing Wands.
