Riley wants to blog about coasting. Coasting is a way to learn to ride a bike. Take the peddles off your bike. Sit on the seat and practice steering by pushing off with your feet and turning the handle bars. Practice a lot! Later, when you are good at coasting you can put the peddles back on your bike. Now you are ready to really ride!

Don't forget to wear your helmet.

Hi Riley! Great post. I had forgotten all about coasting! That seems like such a long time ago, now. Hope you're having a good day! Love,
Dad

When I learned to ride a bike, I never thought of coasting. I got on, put my feet on the pedals and went FAST. Speed was the only way I could keep from falling over. :)

I have to say that we should really try this with my 9 year old who can NOT ride a bike yet!! Now to find a good "coasting" spot!
